Mike Hamilton, USA Judge #22 - SV

mike hamiltonUSA / SV - Senior Teaching Judge Mike Hamilton is a familiar face around the USA Schutzhund scene. He began training his first German Shepherd, Hero vom Forst Haus, in 1979 and became a member of the Schutzhund 3 Club with his first dog. In 1981, he founded the Western Indiana Schutzhund Club which is now named O.G. Indianapolis Schutzhund and Police Club.

Mike bred German Shepherds under the kennel name “Zucker Bucht”. He did trial helper work in thirty-eight USA sanctioned trials including FIVE (5) USA National Events. He was a Tracking Coordinator/ Track Layer in SIX (6) USA- North American / FH Championships, eight (8) USA National Championship Events and sixteen (16) USA Regional Championships.

• Was honored to Judge the Giant Schnauzer National Working Championship.
• Judged over 250 events including twenty (20) national events, and twenty four (24) Regional Championships.
• 2009 AWDF Championship – Protection Judge – (96 dogs)
• 2009 USA GSD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP – Tracking Judge
• President of the United Schutzhund Clubs of America from 1998 through 2002.
• Was a member of the USA Executive Board for ten years and a member of the USA Judges Committee for four years. Additionally has served on the Board of Inquiry and National Events Committee.
• Has served as a Breed Warden and Tattooer for the Mid Central and Mid East Regions.
